Nibras Office — Privacy Policy
Nibras Office (the “App”) is an Android app by Nibras Code (nibrascode.com) for reading, annotating and editing PDF documents. This policy explains how the App handles data.
Summary
The App does not collect any personal data and does not share data with anyone. There are no accounts, no ads and no analytics. Your documents and annotations are processed and stored only on your device.
What is stored on your device
- A copy of each PDF you open in the App (in the App’s private storage), so you can reopen it from “Recent files”, and the last page you read.
- Your annotations (pen, highlighter, text, notes, shapes, images, signatures) and a small preview image of the first page.
- Your saved signature, if you create one.
- Preferences such as language, night mode and full-screen mode.
- OCR language data files, if you download them.
All of this stays on your device and is never sent to us. The App does not use Android’s automatic cloud backup.
What we do not collect
Name, email, phone number, address, location, contacts, device or advertising identifiers, usage statistics and file contents are not collected, are not stored off the device and are not shared with third parties. The App contains no third-party advertising, analytics or crash-reporting libraries.
Internet and permissions
The App uses the internet permission for one purpose only: the first time you use OCR (text recognition), the recognition data files for English, Arabic and Azerbaijani (about 10 MB) are downloaded once from the public Tesseract repository on GitHub (github.com/tesseract-ocr/tessdata_fast) and stored on your device. No documents, images or personal data are sent; OCR runs entirely on the device. As with any download, GitHub receives standard technical connection data (such as your IP address) under its own privacy policy. You can delete these files in Settings → OCR. The App makes no other network requests.
The App requests no other permissions (no camera, microphone, location, contacts or broad file access). Files are chosen with Android’s system file picker, and the App only accesses the files you choose.
Password-protected PDFs
Passwords you enter to open or protect a PDF are used only on your device to decrypt or encrypt that document and are not sent anywhere.
Saving, sharing and printing
“Save” writes the PDF to the original file or to a location you choose. “Share” and “Print” pass the file only to the app or printer service you choose. You start these actions yourself.
Deleting your data
Removing a document from “Recent files” deletes its in-app copy, annotations and preview from your device. “Clear recent files” in Settings removes all of them. Uninstalling the App deletes all App data. Your original files are not affected.
Children
The App is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Google Play
When the App is distributed through Google Play, Google may collect anonymous crash and performance statistics (Android vitals) from users who have opted in, under Google’s own policies. The App’s code does not collect this data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
