How to redact text in a PDF

Before sending a PDF you may want to hide a phone number, address or card number.

In Redact PDF you drag a black box over that spot.

With «Flatten» on, the text under the box is removed from that page.

• Open nibrascode.com/en/pdf/redact and choose the PDF.
• Pick the page and drag a box over what to hide.
• Keep «Flatten boxed pages» on.
• Press Start, download and check the result.

This is a simple tool, not certified legal-grade redaction. Flattened pages lose selectable text. With flatten off, text is only covered and can still be copied.
