How to reduce PDF file size

A site says «file too large»? You can shrink the PDF. No install needed.

The Nibras Code Compress PDF tool runs in your browser. The file is not uploaded.

There are two modes. Light mode cleans up the file and keeps the text. Strong mode rebuilds pages as images. The file gets much smaller, but text can no longer be selected.

• Open nibrascode.com/en/pdf/compress.
• Choose the PDF.
• Try light mode first.
• If that is not enough, switch to strong mode.
• Download the new file. The tool shows the old and new size.

If the file is already compact, it may not shrink. Then the tool keeps the original.
