Android is a phone's operating system.
Apps run on top of it.
Android is the main system on a phone where apps open.
It is not the name of one brand.
Different phone makers can add their own look on top of the same system.
An APK is a file used to install an Android app.
Be careful with a file from an unknown page.
An APK is the install file of an Android app.
A store usually opens and installs that file for you.
If you save and open the file yourself, the phone may ask for an extra permission.
Search the store for the app name, check the developer, then install.
The simplest way is to open the phone's own store and search for the app name.
Other apps with a similar name can appear.
Check the developer name and the icon before you install.
A permission decides whether an app can reach the camera, files, or notifications.
A permission is consent for an app to enter one part of the phone.
Camera, photos, microphone, and notifications are separate permissions.
You do not have to allow one the app does not need for the job you see.
