The letter ə shows as a square

If Python stops, the screen says: UnicodeEncodeError: 'charmap' codec can't encode character '\u0259'. \u0259 is the letter ə. Capital Ə is in the same place. If the program runs and the screen shows a square or ?, the letter went out and the font cannot draw it. Those are two different stops.

Turkish pages say cp1254. Python's table has ü, ö, ş, ğ, ç, and ı. It does not have ə. That guide does not fix this letter.

Do not change everything at once. Check the cause in order.

• Save the file as UTF-8. The bottom corner of VS Code should say UTF-8. In Notepad, Unicode means UTF-16. Do not pick that.
• If you write to a file, the line should be open("metn.txt", "w", encoding="utf-8"). Without encoding, Windows takes the Turkish table and ə is dropped.
• If the error stops the program, do not write errors="ignore" or cp1254. The first deletes ə. The second has no ə. At the start of the program write sys.stdout.reconfigure(encoding="utf-8"), then print("Azərbaycan").
• If the program runs and the letter is a square, do not change the code. Set the terminal font to Cascadia Mono or Consolas.
• chcp 65001 makes only the open window UTF-8. When the window closes, the old page comes back.

The letter æ is not ə. Do not put the mark from the Turkish table in its place.
