EAS: keystore and credentials error

Keystore generation failed / Failed to set up Android credentials. Please provide your keystore or let EAS generate one. Build is running in non-interactive mode.

Cause

In non-interactive mode EAS has no signing key to use. On the first build the key must be created or uploaded by hand.

Step-by-step fix

1. Run eas credentials --platform android and create a key or upload your own keystore from the menu.
2. Do the first build interactively and EAS will create and store the key itself.
3. If you own a key, choose local use with credentials.json, but never commit that file.
4. Download a copy of the key with eas credentials and store it safely.
5. After that, --non-interactive builds will work.

How to prevent it

Never lose the signing key: keep copies in at least two separate safe places.
